Started my ac unit fine and I don't think it had to clamp down on the amperage although the inverter did beep for a second.
I tested it out again yesterday and the beeping is just the overload alarm. Screen shows a load of about 6600 watts for a split second during startup before settling down to about 2200 watts depending on other loads (stats shows a peak surge of 11000 watts). Never clamped down though.
